Charles has began to appreciate stories; he's got a very wide imagination, and an addiction to fantasy fiction. His eyes glow with wonder whenever he talks about monsters, dragons and heroes.
During bedtime, he insists on his bedtime stories. I tell him stories about Jack and the Beanstalk, Three Little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel. He remembers each and every character and how events happen in each story.
A few years forward, I'll be sharing with him stories about my personal favorite: stories of the magus Raistlin Majere, and his twin brother Caramon, in their world full of dragons and magic in Dragonlance. Or maybe, the story of Drizzt Do'Urden, the dark-elf hero of Forgotten Realms.
Maybe in a few years, but probably now, I'll just stick with Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Peter Pan.
