The new server just arrived last week and I'm still at a loss whether to stick with the 32-bit Windows 2008 Server or the 64-bit version. I'm still all tied up to the 32-bit idea. However, Hyper-V only works on the 64-bit version, and to stick with the 32-bit means keeping the Virtual Server 2005.
Virtualization is the new buzzword. It's an emerging tech with several key players already. Microsoft has VS 2005 and Hyper-V (formerly Viridian). VMWare has ESX. And there's XEN, the opensource hypervisor. If you haven't tried virtualizing your servers, I think you should. It keeps server management really simple.
